Gameweek 37 Preview - Penultimate Gameweek

Coming into gameweek 37 there are some good options for draft fantasy owners. The combination of the fixtures and the need for teams to do well in order to properly position themselves for the upcoming Champions League and avoid relegation from the Premier League. Additionally, as always injuries play their part in affecting who the best players are to pick up, start, and bench.

The top team: Manchester United

Although United is going to have to worry about rotating players for the FA Cup Finals against Crystal Palace, they have two games this week against fairly awful opponents. I expect Rashford and Martial to have stellar games up front in order to maintain their chances of catching Man City, who have a tough match up against Arsenal coming up. Another player to keep an eye on is Lingaard, because he may be available in your league and will surely benefit from rotation.

The best fixture: West Ham

West Ham play two games this week and they are coming off two wins in a row. Additionally, they are playing Swansea and Stoke who both have nothing to play for; not to mention the injury of Sigurdsson. West Ham should surely have their way this week. This week Sakho is back and hoping to keep his position, Randolph will be taking over goaltender responsibilities from the injured Adrian, and Payet is always someone to start if you are lucky enough to have him on your squad. I recommend take a look at these players carefully, and do not forget to find a replacement for Adrian.

The must win situation: Newcastle

Newcastle are in a slippery situation at 17th place. Relegation is knocking on their door and after winning last week, I believe they can the momentum needed to stay in the Premier League. They will be looking for big games from almost everyone from Cisse, Wijnaldum, and Sissoko to Townsend, Lascelles, and Darlow because Elliot is injured.

The cherry on top is that it is always a great to pick players from teams playing against Aston Villa so you can’t really go wrong with any Newcastle players.
