Gameweek 36 Preview

As we approach the final 3 weeks of the season a lot of opportunities present themselves to catch up in your Draft Fantasy league. A lot of mid-table teams seem to have stopped caring and many of the teams at the bottom have finally started performing in a desperate attempt to avoid relegation.

With a final double gameweek of the season next week, be sure to fill up on teams playing twice. These include:
West Ham, Norwich, Chelsea, Watford, Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton and Sunderland.

There are also many teams to avoid and these are mostly teams placed between 9th and 16th in the table as well Aston Villa who have been dreadful.

West Ham still have something to play for and have some nice fixtures remaining. Most of their players would have been snapped up in your league already. Payet, Antonio, Lanzini the obvious go to options in midfield. Cresswell with massive points potential in defence. And Andy Carroll should get more time upfront after his recent string of impressive performances.

Watford - they’re a mid-table team that doesn’t have a lot to play for having guaranteed another season in the top flight. Having said that though, they have some excellent fixtures remaining. They play Aston Villa at home this week, a double next week that includes Norwich away, and play Sunderland at home on the last day of the season. That’s about as good a fixture list as you can get, although the games against Norwich and Sunderland could be tough as they fight to stay up. Ighalo and Deeney are the main go to men at Watford. It’s seems like a decade since they last performed, but it’s been even longer since Aston Villa got their last Premier League win. Other Watford players to look at are Gomes who might just get you a penalty save, and Cathcart and Nyom in defence. Amrabat listed as a midfielder could also be worth a punt despite not getting any attacking returns all season.

Sunderland - desperate to survive, they’ve finally started performing with two clean sheets in a row. Patrick Van Aanholt is a good shout in defence with the ability to score goals too. Defoe is the pick upfront. Borini is an interesting option with a goal and assist last week and a decent chance no has him in your league already. Sunderland play Stoke this week who have lost 3 games on the trot and seem to have stopped caring. Next week they play Chelsea and Everton at home and they finish off at Watford on the last day of the season. A very decent fixture list for Sunderland.

Newcastle - another team on the up. Rafa Benitez has breathed fresh life into them since joining. CPL, avl, TOT are their remaining fixtures which is fairly decent. They will be looking to win their next 2 games if they are to stand any chance of survival. A lot of attacking options to go for here including Cisse, Mitrovic, Wijnaldum, Townsend and Sissoko. Townsend and Sissoko seem nailed on for now, the others are all rotation risks. They also have some good defensive options that could do well over the next two weeks.

We’ve had a look at 4 teams this week that will probably have a fair number of free agents in your draft leagues. If you can think of any others, be sure to post them in the comments section below.
