Fixture Analysis (GW17+)

Here's an analysis of the team's with the best (and worst) upcoming fixtures. We try and find the overlooked players that will help you boost your draft fantasy football team.

The Strong

West Brom

WBA have had some tough fixtures recently and their players haven't been performing too well. This is about to change with some very nice fixtures coming up. A team that's always good for a clean sheet with a 40% clean sheet rate so far this season, now's the time to be getting in a WBA defender or two.

As far as attacking options go, Rondon and Berahino are the men to go for. If Berahino can fight his way back into the first team, which he should, he could be an interesting option. Could be a good time get Rondon in a trade, only having scored 3 goals so far this season, we could start to see an upturn in goals from him very soon.

Crystal Palace

Another team with some decent upcoming defensive fixtures, playing Stoke (A), Bournemouth (A), and Swansea (H) in the next 3. Stoke and Bournemouth are in very good form and Stoke have been proving extremely hard to score against. At the same time, Stoke don't prove the strongest attacking threat which could be good for CPL's defensive options. CPL's standout defender this year has been Scott Dann who has 3 goals and an assist already. Unlikely he'll continue to score at this rate for the rest of the season however.

Manchester United

A team in trouble. In general, they're the team with the most solid defence in the league, but currently plagued by injuries, they've let in 5 goals over their past 2 games. There could be some interesting options available from the United team. Players like Varela, Borthwick-Jackson, Phil Jones, and McNair will most likely be available in a lot of leagues. United have the second best set of defensive fixtures coming up with NOR, sto, CHE, SWA, new in their next 5 games.

In attack Mata, Depay and Martial seem to be the only players worth considering. Mata is always an exciting prospect and could be worth putting in a trade for.

Another team with some exciting fixtures coming up. We fully expect them to bounce back from their downswing eventually. With home fixtures against Sunderland and Watford over the next two gameweeks, we expect to see some goals and clean sheets. Any starting Chelsea defender is worth taking. John Terry is now back from injury. If he's a free agent in your league, definitely worth picking him up now. As for attacking options, we're still waiting for Eden Hazard to get going and we think he will. Oscar, Willian, Pedro, and Costa all worth considering too. Rotation will be a problem so be wary and check team news. Terry and Pedro may be benched by Jose.

Aston Villa

They're bottom of the league, they've been awful, but they have had the hardest set of fixtures so far this season. They have a decent set of matches coming up. Could be worth a gamble on one of their players. They have the second best set of attacking fixtures coming up.

Soton, Norwich and Watford in their next 3 games, we could see a few more goals from the likes of Kane and Eriksen. Dele Alli another player to keep an eye on. Lamela who scored a Europa League hat-trick will be hoping for more. Dier and Alderweireld are good defensive options, but any Spurs starting Spurs defender could cause havoc. Walker, Rose, Vertonghen have all been known to have big gameweeks with the potential for a goal and clean sheet.

West Ham

Another team with some very favourable fixtures coming up. Keep an eye on them.

Teams To Be Wary Of

Leicester have been awesome, but they have some tough games coming up. eve, liv, MCY in the next 3. Good be time to cash in on their players and trade them away at good value. Mahrez and Vardy are season keepers though and can score you points in any game.

Southampton have been in poor form and things aren't getting easier with TOT and ARS in their next two games.

Bournemouth have been in fine form defeating Chelsea and Manchester United in their last two games, but with Stoke, WBA and Arsenal in their next 3 games, it could be hard for them to score goals.
